  • Additional Information

Bagasse is defined as the fibrous residue remaining after sugarcane or sorghum stalks are crushed to extract their juice and is currently used as a renewable resource in the manufacture of pulp and paper products and building materials.Bagasse is used to make insulated disposable food containers, replacing materials such as styrofoam, which are increasingly regarded as environmentally unacceptable (see styrofoam bans). Insulated disposable food containers made of bagasse are now made available in local market through Casetta. Using Bagesse as raw material products similar to existing Sytrofoam products can be manufactured easily. Sugar cane fiber bagasse tableware is made by pressing the pulp with intense pressure and high temperatures to a mold form. Bagasse is 100% compostable and it biodegrades in 30-60 days. Through the use of this product, you are contributing to a sustainable planet. Bagasse is a tree-free renewable resource and provides a superior alternative to petroleum derived products. It will biodegrade and will not stay in the environment for hundreds of years.
